Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Please join us in our Praise and Worship this Friday at 5:30 pm, August 22, 2025 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Rectory.

We will start with The Rosary @ 5:30 pm followed by Praise and Worship at 6:00 pm.

20th Sunday in Ordinary Time

August 17 2025 – Jer 38:4-6, 8-10/ Ps 40:2, 3, 4, 18/ Heb 12:1-4/ Lk 12:49-53

Theme: We store up heavenly treasures when we have courage to avoid sin and embrace the righteousness of Christ

Promise: “The Lord heard my cry…he made firm my steps.” (Ps 40:3a, 3c)

Order: “My sheep, hear my voice…” (John 10:27)

Directions:

1. Let us stay away from anything that may lead us into sin. May our minds be guided by truth and purity, through daily examination of conscience and frequent reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

2. Cultivate a habit of silence and prayer to hear Him daily. Discern His voice above the noise of the world—through Scripture, the Church, and quiet moments of reflection.

3. Invoke the power of the Holy Spirit to give us the strength to renew our commitment to the burning fire of God’s mission.
